  • This bundle has been designed to provide employees with an understanding of the appropriate uses of social and digital media in the workplace, health and safety responsibilities and the risks involved in the management process. Including the risks and prevention strategies associated with workplace violence and aggression in healthcare.
  • Also included is basic life support training consistent with the Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR) guidelines.

  • The uses, benefits, risks, legislation and workplace policies of electronic communications, social and digital media.
  • 45 minutes
  • Common workplace hazards, health and safety responsibilities and strategies to prevent and reduce risk in the workplace using the risk management process.
  • 55 minutes
  • The steps involved in conducting effective basic life support (BLS), assessing a situation, identifying dangers and calling for help.
  • How to identify airway obstructions, perform CPR and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
  • 40 minutes
  • Common health risks in the office environment, how to set up equipment, arrange desk items, manage noise problems, temperature and lighting as well as how to structure work tasks to reduce the risk of injury and illness
  • 95 minutes
  • The nature of workplace violence and aggression in healthcare settings, including prevalence, scope, cost and associated legal and policy frameworks.
  • Steps to prevent incidents of violence or aggression, including the environment-situational-patient (ESP) risk assessment framework.
  • Steps to manage a person progressing through each phase of the assault cycle, how to manage violent individuals, and key responsibilities of employees and employers in the event of an incident.
